1.   Enquiries are received by either - e-mail, fax, letter or telephone.

2.   In order to respond to your enquiry we need to know:

            a.      The nature of your work

b.      The number of people you employ

c.      The number of sites

d.      Shift patterns

 

3.   Based on the information submitted, a written quotation will be supplied.

 

4.   Following receipt of a written quotation you will be contacted by a member of the Centre for Assessment Ltd. team to discuss the quote and confirm approval to proceed

 

5.   You are asked to submit a formal application (unless this was the method used at Step 1).

 

6.   You will be contacted by the assessor assigned to your assessment to agree arrangements for both your Stage 1 and Stage 2 Assessment. Any provisional date agreed for an on-site assessment will be confirmed subject to action identified at the Document Review stage being closed out. The Stage 1 is to check that your documented system complies with the standard.

 

7.   Stage 2 is carried out at your premises; this stage is to check that you comply with your written procedures and that you meet the requirements of ISO 9001.

 

8.   If your system is found to comply the assessor recommends that your organisation’s application is approved. The assessment report is submitted to an independent panel for verification. Once this is complete you will be informed and issued with a Certificate of Registration and authorised to display the Accreditation/Certification Mark as appropriate.

 

9.   Surveillance visits are scheduled to take place at 6 or 12 month intervals depending on size of your organisation and the issues raised at initial assessment.
