Your staff are your most important asset. This course will help you get the most out of your team and the individuals within it.

Effective team leaders need to be able to develop others.  Practical Leadership will help you recognise the difference between coaching and training and know when each is appropriate, making use of constructive feedback.

Constructive feedback gives focus to employees, helping them direct their work so that the organisation achieves its strategic goals.  Unfortunately, many team leaders struggle with providing constructive feedback.  They often commit one of three sins - omitting, minimising, or exaggerative feedback, only to find that an issue rows rapidly because they've failed to address it.

Practical Leadership covers these themes and much more.

Who is the course suitable for?
Aspiring or new people managers or supervisors will find this course useful.

If you are looking for a recognised national ILM qualification, this course is part of the Level 2 Award.  After successful completion of this course and Building Stronger Teams, you will be required to complete a written assignment.  The Award will help you to excel in your current role and focus on the progression of your management career.

Alternatively, you can complete this workshop as a stand-alone learning experience.
