First Aid Training

Every organisation is required by law to have a number of employees who hold First Aid qualifications.

Our Ofqual-regulated First Aid qualifications are certified through Highfield and are available for in-company delivery. 

We also run the one-day Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work course at our training room in Manchester, with places available for just £85+VAT. Select 12th May, 18th August, 15th December 2021 or 16th February 2022 in the booking box on the right of this page.

First Aid
Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
Delivered at our socially-distanced training rooms in Manchester city centre, places are available on our open courses: 12th May, 18th August, and 15th December 2021 and 16th February 2022.

What does the course include?

The one-day course will give you an understanding of the basics of First Aid.  Topics covered include incident and casualty management, dealing with an unconscious person, wounds and bleeding, burns, and first aid kits.

Who is the course suitable for?

Ideal of individuals, lone workers or employees of small organisation, the course will enable you to take charge of first aid provision.

How much does it cost?

£85 for a place on a course in Manchester: make a booking on your preferred date using the box at the top right of this page.  You can choose to pay by card or request an invoice.

1 to 6 delegates: £495; 7 to 12 delegates: £595 for in-company delivery.

Costs include the price of the course and the examination fees.

First Aid
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
This course will give you a comprehensive introduction to First Aid, enabling you to become a designated First Aider.

What does the course include?

This three-day programme covers how to act safely, promptly and effectively during First Aid incidents to a recognised national standard.  Topics include shock, airway/breathing problems, burns and scalds, bone/joint/muscle injuries, poising, and eye injuries.

Who is the course suitable for?

Designated First Aiders should take this course, equipping them with the knowledge and practical experience so they can carry out First Aid within the workplace.

How much does it cost?

Requalification
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Requalification)
To renew your qualification, you must complete this course within 28 days of your certificate expiry.

What does the course include?

This is a two-day course which will update and refresh your knowledge of the First Aid at Work syllabus, while allowing time for revision and practice sessions in preparation for a final assessment.

Who is the course suitable for?

The course is designed for individuals wishing to renew their First Aid at Work certificate.  If your certificate expired over 28 days ago, the full course is required.

How much does it cost?

This course is available for delivery at your premises.  Get in touch to agree suitable dates and make arrangements.

1 to 6 delegates: £995; 7 to 12 delegates: £1,295 for in-company delivery.

Costs include the course fee and the multiple-choice examination.

Paediatric
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid
If you are responsible for caring for children or work in childcare settings, this course is designed for you.

What does the course include?

Working with children brings with it huge responsibility.  This two-day programme covers a range of issues that may arise, including how to address the situation, responsibilities and reporting, resuscitation, fainting, head injuries, choking, diabetes, fractures, meningitis, bleeding, anaphylaxis, burns, and unresponsive casualties.

Who is the course suitable for?

Providing essential skills to protect their welfare, anyone with a duty of care for children should participate in this course.

How much does it cost?

1 to 6 delegates: £995; 7 to 12 delegates: £1,195 for in-company delivery.

Costs include the training fee and Highfield examinations.
