is ISO 45001 a legal requirement?

Many organisations are required to hold ISO 45001 certification from a UKAS-accredited body like Centre for Assessment. It is often a necessity to win contracts but also helps organisations do business better. It is typically popular in the construction sector but there are many, many ISO 45001 certified organisations of all sizes, and across all sectors.
How do you implement ISO 45001?

The Standard booklet sets out the requirements of an Occupational Health & Safety Management System. You can chose to build this yourself, perhaps integrating it with your existing Quality or Environmental Management System, or enlist the help of a consultant. We have compiled a Directory of Consultants which are independent individuals and companies who may operate in your area, or within your industry sector.
What is the difference between OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001?

ISO 45001 has effectively replaced OHSAS 18001. It is the first international Standard for Occupational Health & Safety and is recognised as a robust, credible and effective Management System Standard.

How Much Does it Cost?

Centre for Assessment is aware that cost may be an important factor for companies who are thinking of achieving ISO 45001 certification.

We believe our audit fees to be highly competitive, offering you excellent value-for-money and a return on your investment. Our fees are based on various factors set out by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), such as the number of employees in your organisation and the complexity of your activities. We provide no-obligation quotations based on a three-year certification cycle, including an initial certification audit and two subsequent surveillance visits. Please note that we do not expect you to commit to ISO 45001 certification beyond year one. Centre for Assessment will only invoice you once an audit has been completed - nothing to pay in advance and no management fees. Transfer your Certification to Centre for Assessment

If your organisation is already certified to ISO 45001, you may want to consider transferring to Centre for Assessment.
Centre for Assessment has lots of experience working with transfer clients, ensuring the required audits take place to avoid a gap in your certification.

You may consider a transfer for many reasons. Perhaps you need a more robust audit from a UKAS-accredited certification body. You may need an improved level of service or a more affordable price. ISO 45003

Launched in June this year, Centre for Assessment is now offering verification audits against ISO 45003: Psychological Health & Safety at Work

Developed from ISO 45001, this new Standard builds on the requirements for mental, as physical, health & safety in the workplace. It covers risks to employee wellbeing such as lack of role clarity, excessive workload and poor change management.

SSIP
