I qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and hold a current practicing certificate (SRA ID 143950). Initially I worked as a commercial property solicitor with a city law firm - Richards Butler (now Reid Smith). Following a career break to raise a family I returned to work as a practice manager helping the firm I joined to achieve a number of standards including CQS, WIQS and Lexcel.

I was involved in a number of changes to the firm over thirteen years, including two relocations and the growth of the firm from 18 members of staff to over 30. The firm maintained CQS, WIQS and Lexcel accreditation throughout my time with them. 

In 2015 I became a self-employed Lexcel and compliance consultant. Since then I have helped a number of firms and an in-house team achieve the Lexcel and CQS standards.

In April 2017 I joined Gardner Leader solicitors as their Quality Director. They are clients of Centre for Assessment and are LawNet accredited

In June 2017 I qualified as a Law Society accredited Lexcel Assessor.

In 2019 I underwent training and undertook CQS assessments on behalf of CfA as part of the Law Society’s pilot scheme.

Three years as a Lexcel assessor with Centre for Assessment.  I have carried out approximately 25 assessments
