Volunteering at Working Wardrobe

Group of volunteers stood next to a charity van

Back in October, Lexcel @ Centre for Assessment staff volunteered with Greater Manchester charity Working Wardrobe for the first time and last month more of the team returned for their second volunteering day.

Working Wardrobe is a personal styling service which gives people the outfit, interview skills and confidence they need to get the job that they deserve.

During the day, colleagues helped with organising donated clothing into categories, identifying items that needed to be dry-cleaned, bagging the sorted clothes and reloading them into the van ready for use.

Hannah Morris, Marketing & Communications Executive, said: “I love getting stuck in (and that feeling when you’ve given something back!) so this was right up my street, and certainly something I would like to do again.”

Here at Centre for Assessment, we are driven by values, and volunteering links to values ‘make a positive difference’ and ‘empower people’. Here at Centre for Assessment, we will continue to take part in volunteering activities that support our local community.
