Jason Hill – Founder & Lead Consultant

Jason has circa 30 years’ management experience in both private sector and civil service having previously held prominent positions in the Ministry of Justice as ‘Senior Contracts Manager’ where he managed the team of London legal aid contract managers and was responsible for hundreds of civil and crime legal aid providers and the drive to become a digital agency. He was integral to the move towards financial stewardship and designed the annual CM audit process.

Prior to this, Jason led several national projects such as the move to the Housing Court Duty Possession Scheme, strategic LAA lead for the Family Justice Board, Head of National not-for-profit driving the transition to the Unified Contract; Representative Body Consultant to CAB, Law Centers, Shelter, Justice Alliance, SRA, HM Courts, Police; he was Collaborative CM Lead for HR investigations, Operational Assurance, Official Investigations, and Insolvency/Debt Collection. He facilitated foreign delegations keen to understand how UK legal aid operated and was in direct regular contact with the Executive team and Ministers.

Jason is an accomplished writer/speaker and presented at numerous legal aid provider training events some of which were held at The Law Society, Friends House Euston and even London Zoo! His early background in teaching makes him an engaging trainer, and as a canoe and British Cycling coach it is not surprising the Ministry of Justice rated him as a ‘mastery coach’, empowering not prescriptive.

Jason has an excellent track record as a management consultant and is highly sought after. Our clients highly recommend TLC Legals and state, ‘first class’, ‘proactive’, ‘highly professional and understanding’, ‘flexible’, ‘expert’ ‘knowledge leader’. Once you have experienced TLC Legals you will not accept less.
